Lionheart and the Gotham Early Music Project

From The New York Times:

★ GEMS Showcases (Friday and Sunday) Gotham Early Music Scene, an organization devoted to building the audience for pre-classical music in New York, presents an annual series of showcase concerts, each offering performances by several ensembles and a wide range of repertory. On Friday the Sinfonia Players perform music of Bach and Telemann; Trefoil offers medieval songs; and Repast plays music of Couperin, Handel and Stradella. And on Sunday the vocal sextet Lionheart sings music from the court and chapel of Henry VIII, with Asteria presenting 15th-century Burgundian music and REBEL playing Baroque works.” [Allan Kozinn for The New York Times]
